According to the “Detailed Clearing Rules of China Financial Futures Exchange (CFFEX)”, the CFFEX opens special clearing accounts at futures margin depositary banks to deposit the margins and relevant amounts of its clearing members. Clearing members shall open futures margin accounts at futures margin depositary banks to deposit the margins and relevant amounts.

The futures margin accounts opened by clearing members at futures margin depositary banks in the place where the CFFEX is located are called special capital accounts. The capital transfer for futures business between the CFFEX and its clearing members are handled through the CFFEX’s special clearing accounts and the clearing members’ special capital accounts.
