Staying True to the Founding Mission in a New Round of Reform and Opening up
China Financial Futures Exchange (CFFEX) has recently evaluated and selected the outstanding members for 2018 to further promote the sound development of China’s financial futures market, establish a self-regulation mechanism with a focus on regulation of members, and encourage the compliance operation and robust growth of members.
As the first year for implementing the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC), 2018 marked the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening up and represented a critical year for China to secure a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and strive for the great success of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era. Under the firm leadership of the CPC Central Committee with President Xi Jinping at its core and the unified deployment of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), CFFEX implemented the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, improved its political stance, strengthened the fulfilment of its duties, and bolstered the CPC’s leadership over the financial futures business. Centering on serving the real economy, preventing financial risks, and deepening reform and opening up, CFFEX made progress with stability, maintained the new development philosophy, achieved high quality development, continued to increase its front-line supervision efforts, and promoted the development of a multilevel capital market in a bid to further serve the development of China’s economy.
In the past year, all members made positive contribution to the innovative development of China’s financial futures market by working with CFFEX to continuously improve the operation of the market, steadily promote product innovation, boost orderly opening up to overseas investors, and actively prevent financial risks. After comprehensively considering all members’ efforts in facilitating the robust development of the market, promoting the fulfillment of market functions, performing the duty of client management, maintaining compliance operation, and furthering investor education and marketing campaign, as well as their contributions to the research and development of new products and businesses, CFFEX has selected 44 outstanding members for 2018 and granted the Platinum Award, Gold Award, Technical Management Award, Product Promotion Award, and Business Innovation Award to them respectively. CFFEX congratulations all award-winners and hopes that all members will make concerted efforts for a better future.
As socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era, CFFEX must get a new look and make new accomplishments. Marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, 2019 is a critical year for China to achieve the first centenary goal, i.e. finishing building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, and the first year for China to embark on a new journey toward a new round of reform and opening up. CFFEX will, under the guidance of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, uphold and strengthen the overall leadership of the CPC, maintain market-based and law-governed reform consistent with international practices, promote the reform and opening-up of the financial futures market with greater determination, courage, and efforts, and fully inspire market vitality, so as to better support the sound and stable operation of the capital market and assist the high-quality development of the real economy.
CFFEX will remain true to its original aspiration and keep its mission firmly in mind by taking its responsibilities and working with great determination and will, together with all members, strive for a new chapter of China’s financial futures industry.
